CHARLOTTE VERITY: MIDWINTER SPRING, THE BOAT HOUSE GALLERY, FLATFORD. 5 SEPTEMBER - 1 NOVEMBER 2015

Invited to create works on site in Flatford - the landscape that inspired John Constable - Charlotte Verity presents a new body of works for the exhibition 'Midwinter Spring'.
Verity states that "Constable's paintings have always touched me... the way he finds a paint mark to match the fleeting, often unnameable colours of fields, pools, wind-blown trees and the elusive blue of the English summer's sky; it’s depth and composure."

DIANA MATAR: CONFLICT, TIME, PHOTOGRAPHY. STAATLICHE KUNSTSAMMLUNGEN DRESDEN31 JULY - 25 OCTOBER 2015

Conceived by Tate Modern, the exhibition illustrates how the events of war and their consequences have been captured and reflected in the medium of photography from the 19th century onwards. Historical photo-stories, documentary photographs, and works by contemporary photographers highlight the traces ‒ both momentary and permanent, visible and obliterated ‒ that each conflict leaves behind and which are inscribed, not only in the collective memory, but also in the actual places that once formed the backdrop for armed conflict.
