Created during her residency at the Museum of the History of Science, Oxford, Susan Derges’ Vessel series explores metamorphosis and echoes the chemical process of distillation through observations of frogspawn and toadspawn — a fitting cover for Fiona Benson’s Midden Witch, a collection of poems by the award-winning poet.
