Tessa Traeger

Family Trees No.12 : George Duke of Buckingham, 2022
George, Duke of Buckingham 1592-1628 was a courtier, statesman and patron of the arts. He was the favourite of two Kings, James I and Charles I, but his corruption and sale of honours and his erratic foreign policy made him and his patrons extremely unpopular and may have led to the civil war. He was assassinated in 1628. Painting by Mytens
